Macbook Air 13

No products found.

MacBook Air is one of Apple’s three flagship laptop computers. It has a stunning design and excellent build quality, but it comes at a premium price due to its MacOS operating system. The entry-level variant costs $999, but it’s still better than any Windows machine under that price point.
It’s a fantastic laptop because it has an incredibly compact design, it has excellent battery life and solid performance. The touchpad is very comfortable to use, and its keyboard is superb. However, it lacks some of the features found in other laptops, such as USB Type-C ports and Full HD display. Overall, MacBook Air 13 is a decent choice for anyone that’s looking for one of Apple’s best products in terms of design and performance.
It’s worth mentioning that you should definitely wait until Apple unveils a new MacBook Pro with updated hardware. MacBook Air 13 lacks some of its features, and it won’t get a software update in 2019. You can read more about our expectation on Apple’s upcoming laptops here.

If you plan to be working with multiple applications at the same time, consider an i7 processor or better. But if single-tasking is what you need, then an i5 Core processor will suffice. Speed is measured in gigahertz (GHz). The higher the GHz, the more efficiently the machine can handle its tasks.

The XPS 13 is Dell’s flagship Windows laptop, and it’s a beauty. It has top-of-the-line specs that include an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16GB of RAM, plus ample storage (up to 2TB). Its screen measures a super slim 1mm bezel and boasts impressive colour quality – but does run slightly warm under load.
The XPS 13 is an ultraportable laptop that runs Windows and costs just $1000. In our full review, we liked its beautiful screen, long battery life, and comfortable keyboard. However, we disliked its flimsy lid design, short trackpad, and poor webcam placement. We recommend it to anyone who can live with these flaws.
If you don’t need Windows and want a more portable machine, get the XPS 13’s sister computer, which runs Linux. It features even better specs, including up to a Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 4TB of SSD storage. The biggest downside is that it costs $250 more than its Windows counterpart.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 13

No products found.

You can’t tell by looking at it, but I’m actually using a brand new laptop right now. From the outside, this Surface Book 2 looks just like its predecessor, except for that vibrant and reflective Windows logo stamped on the lid. You’ll find all of your favorite things on here – especially if you’re a fan of those delectable sweets – even though there are improvements everywhere else too! Like they say, the grass is always greener on the other side.

Lifting the cover of this new laptop revealed its stunning 13.5-inch 3000 x 2000 PixelSense display, which stands out starkly from its all metal body. The hinges were stronger than those on the first gen of Surface Book too and didn’t move around when I was using it sitting down, but it did feel like something was missing from the design.

The display on the Surface Book 2 is still as good as it gets. The 13.5 inch, 3:2, 3000 x 2000 resolution can’t be beat – so colorful and crisp. In my time watching 4K open-source movie Tears of Steel on it, I could see vivid blue, orange, green and purple holograms shining bright even in a dark lab space where there was nothing but black walls around them; and each individual ivy leaf was visible to me from atop my own two feet on the column just behind them.

Conclusions
