You certainly do not expect a 7 carbon X1 Intel Core i7-8565U to be this cheap. But if you check the Lenovo site actually, it’s $1800 something for 256 GB SSD and $2200 for 512GB SSD before the Lenovo Student Discount. It also got a nice black look.
I’m comparing it with my Dell XPS 13. It’s lighter than the Dell XPS 13.
I think this is the best laptop out there so I tested. And less than a month ago tried this ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop, the result is very impressive, especially the battery.
But two days ago this laptop does not want to turn on. I tried all the troubleshooting tips from Lenovo and did not find any problem-solving. Seller from Amazon does not provide support at all and refer me to Lenovo.
They prefer to directly drop the problem into their support engineer. Why not replace with new stuff than I have to call and multiple emails. Just a waste of time, its okay right now have to fix it by myself and help of a friend of mine. But that’s my problem, I hope this is not the problem that you also face. Especially after buying it with Lenovo Student Discount.

Actually this laptop is not participating Lenovo discount program, but the price is cheap and has very good specs, in my opinion is very suitable for teachers or who are in college.

- 10th Gen Intel® Core i7-1065G7 processor.
- 14″ display
- 12GB memory and have 512GB solid-state drive
- fingerprint reader and touch screen.
Have a very bright and sharp screen, awesome keyboard, I think personally. Large enough size overall. Having fan noise problem, the only good thing I had was barely detectable.
The battery deserves this Powerhouse with a 1080 screen; It will easily go all day. Slip into the sleeve and fit in my bag, take for a meeting, seminar, or while carrying it on an airplane.
I also connect an external monitor too and connect quickly. A decent speaker sound, may not be enough for those who want professional-grade audio but are good enough for occasional movies or music. Large and comfortable mouse Track.
Like many other reviews, one drawback does not have more connections; At least one more on the right side to allow freedom to connect power from both sides. And once you use one for strength then you will be left with only one USB-C for everything else.
