Franco Columbu is a name that many people have heard of, but might not know the details about. He was one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s training partners and together they won six Mr. Olympia titles. In 1984 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery to remove it. Luckily for him, the surgeons were able to get all of the tumor without having to do any damage to his brain tissue or surrounding areas so he made an almost full recovery from this life-threatening operation.
Franco Columbu was one of the greatest bodybuilders to ever live. He won five Mr. Olympia titles and achieved a perfect score in six competitions. However, many people argue that he is not the best bodybuilder because he never competed against Arnold Schwarzenegger or Ronnie Coleman!
His was a bodybuilder and actor from Italy. He won the Mr. Universe competition in 1976, and he is often considered one of the best bodybuilders ever. Franco Columbu career as an actor includes appearances in such films as Conan The Barbarian (1982), Red Sonja (1985) and Hercules In New York (1970).
